Weddings at The Ashes in February

Sarah and Mark were married in February 2015. You take a risk getting married in a month like February, the weather can play a major part, but as long as you aren’t set on a warm sunny wedding the weather doesn’t need to matter.

The Ashes has beautiful outdoors but the barns are a great place to enjoy your wedding reception.

One of the things I look for when I photograph weddings is interesting people. Either by how they look or how they act. Sarah and Marks wedding had interesting people in droves and I had a blast capturing humour, compassion and emotion with my candids that day.

Sarah’s Dad was one of these. Sarah has two sisters and both of them are also getting married this year so he has to give all three of his daughters away. Leading up to the ceremony and during it, he was struggling with holding back the tears. It’s great to be able to capture that kind of raw emotion
