When you work at the same venue multiple times it gives you an opportunity to really experiment with the same locations to try and get new photographs using new angles. This photograph came from wandering around in the evening and trying to find a new angle to incorporate the fairy light tree.
The fairy lights come away from the tree as well as hanging all around the branches and so I saw a leading line thats takes you to the couple. I put a speedlight behind them to just give them some rim light around their head and shoulders and composed the picture with the fairy lights in the foregound.
Wedding photography is a mix of documenting moments and creating pieces of art and this photograph certainly becomes a piece of art for the couple.
