Weston Hall, Staffordshire
Louise and Johnathan were married at the very majestic looking Weston Hall, near Stafford. I’ve shot a couple of weddings at Weston Hall and it’s a venue I really like working at. It has a lot to offer a wedding photographer because it has fantastic architecture and a lovely interior combined with some lovely grounds and of course – the Alpacas!
I first met Louise and Johnathan a year ago when they were planning their wedding at Weston Hall. It was really important to them that they had very natural wedding photographs and wanted as many real moments documented as possible. Louise and Johnathan really wanted a storyteller photographer to capture their day and so thats how they ended up choosing me 🙂
They were married at St Mary’s Church in Astbury. Every so often I like to collaborate with other photographers and for Louise and Johnathans wedding I had Andrew Billington come along and work with me on the day. Andrew is a fantastic documentary photographer and as such complimented my style very nicely as I like to shoot in a storytelling style with a splash of creative portraits.
Once the ceremony was over we headed to Weston Hall for the reception and for a wedding in early spring the weather was actually really good! Not quite warm enough for the guests to stand out on the veranda but most importantly – no rain!
I always enjoy capturing the wedding toasts and Louise and Johnathans were really lovely – offering tons of moments to capture true emotion from their guests.
At the end of the evening we used the backdrop of Weston Hall to capture a lovely night shot and then I left the newly weds to enjoy the rest of their evening. Here are a few of my favourite photographs from their wedding:
