Heaton House Farm
I live in Leek which is about a 10 minute drive to the border of Cheshire where Heaton House Farm resides and whilst I have been to many a beer festival there over the years I have never actually been to Heaton House Farm for a wedding. As a result I was very excited to capture Vicki and Rob’s big day there.
The forecast was not great, in fact it was downright terrible! It looked like rain, rain and more rain. A whole day of rain in fact. But as usual the weather forecast didn’t quite get it right and we had quite a lot of dry spells and some lovely cool weather. Vicki and Rob were not phased at all by the prospect of rain though I have to say and I don’t think it would have bothered them one bit if it had rained all day.
It all started at St Chads in Longsdon, another venue I hadn’t been to. It’s a beautiful church actually and a joy to work there. It was a lovely ceremony and once it was finished, everyone moved on to Heaton House Farm for the rest of the wedding.
We had more than enough dry weather to capture some great portraits and group shots and the guests were all doing what guests do best -smile, laugh and generally give me tons of story to capture.
Vicki’s dad gave us a fantastic speech full of heart and comedy. The dance floor got busy and we managed to get outside during the dark for some lovely lit shots by the famous tree. Here are a few shots and you can see more of the day from the link at the bottom.
