Country Wedding Venue
Sarah and James were married a couple of weeks ago. They chose to get married at The Ashes in Endon, close to Leek in Staffordshire. This wasn’t the first time I had shot a wedding at The Ashes, if fact, I’ve sot over 100 weddings there. You couldn’t ask for a more extraordinary venue to get married at.
Sarah’s mums house was the perfect place to set the mood for Sarah’s wedding day. The small details captured during bridal preparations create the foundation of a happy story. It was a really busy morning with hair and makeup being done in a small room, but it all adds to the atmosphere and excitement of the day.
Church Wedding Photography
Once Sarah was ready she walked downstairs to show off her dress to her bridesmaids and family. Everyone was amazed to see how stunningly simple Sarah’s dress was. I headed to the church to capture some of the guests arriving and await the bride. As the Bentley came to a stop outside the wedding venue, Sarah looked really delighted to finally get married. Sarah and James tied the knot at St Luke’s Church and it was an emotive ceremony amongst family and friends.
After the ceremony the wedding party enjoyed the rest of the afternoon at The Ashes. The reception was full of incredible energy and joyful laughter. I enjoyed shooting the reception. The moments shared were lovely. This was a fantastic Spring wedding and we made sure we got some lovely portraits at the venue. Sarah and James were lucky to have a sunny day, which was a blessing, and it helped make the colours in the photographs nice and bold.
Wedding Speeches and Bands
It was time for the wedding breakfast and then onto the speeches. One of my favourite parts of the day. You hear so many speeches doing this job, but they are always different. The evening kicked off, the band rocked the dance floor and the guests had an absolute ball.
Sarah and James really know how to create an unbelievable wedding and I wish them all the best for the future.
